William A. Walton
Age 69, of Penn Yan, passed away unexpectedly at home on February 8, 2022.
The family will receive friends at Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St. Penn Yan, on Saturday (Feb. 19) from 1pm-4pm; followed by a funeral service at 4:00pm. The burial with military honors will take place in the spring at City Hill Cemetery.
Bill was born on December 22, 1952, the son of the late Howard and Kathleen Walton. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a well-known diesel mechanic and had regular customers that spanned the across the entire country, working and later retiring from Farnsworth Chevrolet in Canandaigua. He was also an avid outdoorsman, conservationist, and hunter.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, wife Mary Walton, and sister and brother-in-law, Marleen and Grover Bogart.
He is survived by two sons, Adam (Kelly) Walton of Cobleskill and Brent Walton of Naples. Also, brothers and sisters, Howard “Butch” (Cindy) Walton of Stanley, Darwin “Peewee” (MaryAnn) Walton of Penn Yan, Sandra Henderson of Sandy Creek, and Barb (Shawn) Hartson of Clifton Springs; three grandchildren, Riley, Matilda, and Max Walton; and many nieces and nephews’ and great-nieces and nephews.
