Violet Kranis

Violet Hayes Fenton Kranis, age 86, passed away of natural causes in Tucson, AZ on December 28, 2020. Violet was the first daughter of Marie and Ike Hayes, founder of Hayes Auction Barn, in Penn Yan. Violet worked many years in Penn Yan in banking. She moved to Tucson in 1979 with her husband, Bill Fenton, and daughter Carol. She was widowed in 1990 and re-married in 2000 to Tom Kranis. She enjoyed sewing, caring for her plants and baking. She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Fenton, AZ; Judy Johnson, FL and Carol Casey, CA; as well as 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Hutchinson, Watkins Glen and Marilyn Walker, Canandaigua; and brother, Mike Morse, Maryland. A small graveside service is to be held at Benton Cemetery
