Suzanne Boucher Willson, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on January 4, 2024, at her home in Penn Yan, NY.
She was born in Geneva, NY to Oliver A. Boucher and Kathleen Boucher (Newton) on February 22, 1950.
She grew up in Syracuse, but spent all her summers at the family cottage on Arrowhead Beach on Seneca Lake with cousins and friends. Suzanne graduated from Westhill High School in 1968 and attended Buffalo State University. She met her husband Rick, while working a summer job at Stratton’s Diner in Penn Yan. After starting a family, she returned to school and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Keuka College in 1982. She began her nursing career at Soldier’s and Sailor’s Hospital in Penn Yan, and then spent 27 years working on the Labor and Delivery unit at F.F. Thompson Hospital. She touched the lives of a generation of families bringing babies into the world.
Suzanne adored her grandchildren. They were the light of her life and the center of her world. She could often be found cheering at soccer, basketball, and lacrosse games.
