Sandra Lynn Howard

Age 68, of Penn Yan, NY, passed away Feb. 25, 2025.

Born in 1957, Sandy was a proud graduate of Austin Area High School, Class of 1975. She cherished her life in Penn Yan, where she embraced the warmth of community and the joys of homemaking, baking, and music. In her later years, Sandy could often be spotted enjoying peaceful walks in her neighborhood, sharing kind words and a smile with everyone she met. Her ability to brighten the day of those around her endeared her to many, as she was known for her unwavering kindness and compassion. Sandy found solace in her faith, attending services at the Penn Yan United Methodist Church, where she nurtured her relationship with Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward “Red” G. Austin and Cleo L. Austin; and brother Roger Austin.

She is survived by her daughter Renay Howard, and granddaughter Emma Jean Howard of Springfield, MO. Two sisters, Barbara Quale of Portersville, PA and Glenda Costanzo of Williston, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Penn Yan United Methodist Church or organization of the donor’s choice.
