Samuel C. Terpolilli

Age 82, of Penn Yan, passed away peacefully,  February 27, 2024.  

Sam was born in Geneva, NY, the son of Samuel and Virginia (Cook) Terpolilli.  He was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy and was married to his wife of 60 years, Judy (Fontaine) Terpolilli.

He is survived by his wife Judy; son Michael (Loni) Terpolilli; sister Joan (Michael) Macalka; sister-in-law, Holly (Richard) Lafler; two grandchildren, Zachary (Nichole) Terpolilli, and Noah Terpolilli (fiance Maia Scott); two great-grandchildren, Dexter and Autumn Terpolilli; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sam was truly one of the kindest people who was always willing to help out others.  A true gentleman.  He enjoyed spending time with his  family.  He found great pleasure watching his grandchildren play in their sporting events. He loved sports including golf baseball, and  bowling.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Sam was a communicant of St. Michaels Church, as well as a member of the Penn Yan Elks Lodge and Moose Club, and Lakeside County Club.  He worked as a Power Plant Technician for 33 years at Greenidge Power Plant in Dresden.  

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass which will be held Saturday, March 16,  at 11am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 312 Liberty St., Penn Yan; followed by interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery.  A reception will be announced.
