Richard A. Cowell, age 68, passed away peacefully at home on December 20, 2021.
A private celebration for family and friends will be held at a later date.

Dick was a mason for the Brick Layers and Allied Craftsmen Local #3 of Rochester. He also worked for Terry Carlson Masonry in Penn Yan and Jeff Jolly Masonry in Geneva. He loved his visits with his beloved friends, Joe Trombley and Paul Marble to the Trombley home in the Adirondacks.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda; his Mom, Joyce Trombley of The Villages, Fla.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Edie Cowell of Las Vegas, Polly (Rod) Bush of Williamson, Doug (Patti) Scott of Fairport, Carol (Ted) Cox of Penn Yan, and Karen (Michael) DeFazio of Penn Yan; step brothers and step sisters, Molly (Jim) Towslee and Bill Corcoran, of Washington State, Don McNeal of Dundee, Edward (Rachel) Trombley of The Villages, Fla., Joseph Trombley, Stephen (Jennifer) Trombley, Tim (Margarita) Trombley, Andrew (Joni) Trombley, and Chris (Steve) Bloom; and special friends, Jerry “Smitty” and Donna Smith, all of Penn Yan; as well as several nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by their kitty, Socks.
He was predeceased by his dad, Kenneth; step mother, Beverly Cowell; step fathers, Donald Corcoran and Richard Trombley; and brothers, Steven Cowell and Dan McNeil.
