Matthew A. Brady

Age 43, of Penn Yan, passed away July 4, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 22 starting at 2:00pm at the Penn Yan Fire Department, 125 Elm Street, Penn Yan.

Matt was born April 8, 1980 in Ft. Pierce, FL, the son of Thomas Brady and Loraine Zavaglia. 

He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Brady.  He is survived by his mother Loraine Zavaglia; step-dad Benjamin Sheppard (Bethany); son and daughter, Marshall and Isabelle Brady, and their mother Vanessa Brady; sister and brothers, Leah Brady, and Travis and Devon Sheppard; sister-in-law Desiree Petersen; long-time girlfriend Nicole Jayne; and several aunts, uncles,  nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Matt cherished every moment spent with his children, family, and friends.  He had a special love for the outdoors and enjoyed gathering around bonfires to roast s'mores. One of his greatest passions was online gaming, with World of Warcraft being his favorite. In the summertime, he loved nothing more than fishing.  Matt also enjoyed attending music concerts.
