Age 88, of Penn Yan, NY passed away at St. John’s Home in Rochester on April 23, 2021.

Calling hours will be held at the Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main Street, Penn Yan, on Sunday (May 2) from 2pm-4pm; followed by a memorial service at 4pm.  A committal service and interment will be held at Brookside Cemetery in Geneva on Monday (May 3) at 1:00pm.

Mary was born in Penn Yan, NY, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Vaneta Coon. Mary retired at the age of 70 from her lifelong career as a sewing and press machine operator for Michael Sterns and Alleson’s of Rochester.

She was a member of the Penn Yan Elks, Seneca Lake Duck Hunters, Penn Yan American Legion and Moose Club.  Mary was predeceased by her husband Francis Harold Bailey and loving companion Bob Ayers.

She is survived by her son Harold Bailey & Judy Decker of Palmyra, son Bradley (Mihui) Bailey of Canandaigua; daughter Brenda Barber (Jim Hilbert) of Canandaigua; grandchildren Denise Dohse, Alan and Michael Bailey, and Ashley Bailey; great-grandchildren, Kiley, Andrew, Wyatt and Wade.

Memorial contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to the Penn Yan Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the Penn Yan Elks Club or the Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Club.
