Marion A. Harris
Age 90, of Dundee and formerly Penn Yan, passed away May 16, 2022.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St., Penn Yan, NY on Friday (May 20) from 11am-1pm; followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm; and burial following at Hillside Cemetery. A reception will be announced.
Marion was born in Corning, NY on March 24, 1932, the daughter of Cecil and Agnes Dixon. She worked as a head cook for Dundee Central School for many years. She enjoyed camping and bowling in her younger years. She volunteered for many events with the American Legion and a member of the Eastern Star. She was an awesome cook and cake decorator. Marion loved and cherished her family. She was a social butterfly, and visiting and shopping with her friends and family was a great joy.
Marion was predeceased by her first husband Francis Johnson and second husband, Marshall “Bing” Harris. Also, son Cecil Johnson, daughter Karen Maynard, sister Virginia Hill, son-in-law David Nelson; grandson Earl Nelson, one great-grandson and 2 great-granddaughters
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Nelson of Dresden, Wendy Harris McCutchen (Todd) of Drummonds, TN, Kim (Kevin) Fultz of Dundee with whom she lived with for the past 2 months; sister Arlene Field of Oaks Corners; sisters-in-law, Barb Niles, Doris (Melvin) Lowery, Carol (Gary) Pickering, Lois (Vic) Masserand; brothers-in-law, Jim Harris, Stanley (Cathy) Harris, John (Brenda) Harris, and Larry Harris; 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
