Linda Jayne Potts
Age 56, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2022 at the House of John. She fought through a 19 year-long battle with breast cancer and spent her final moments surrounded by family.
Friends and relatives are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 16 at the Penn Yan United Methodist Church, 166 Main St., Penn Yan. The family will welcome friends for calling hours at the church from 10am-11am; followed by a Memorial Service at 11am to celebrate her life. A reception will follow at the church. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Linda was a passionate and loving mother and generous friend. She cherished every moment spent with her four children. Her strong faith guided her during her long journey with cancer, while advocating and helping others with their own. She inspired many with her strength and courage. Linda was full of life and a great friend to many.
She loved to volunteer within the community, especially through her work for The Living Well. She enjoyed time spent in nature and tending to her beautiful garden. She looked forward to her weekly book clubs and bible studies with friends.
Linda was born in Penn Yan, attended Penn Yan Academy, and graduated from, Albany College of Pharmacy. She loved working as a pharmacist, especially during her time at Henderson’s Drug Store.
She was predeceased by her father, Monte Silliman. She is survived by her four children, whom she loved and adored; Morgan Potts, Jacob (Denise) Potts, Mitchell Potts, and Riley Potts; her mother, Velma Silliman; brothers and sisters, Sharon Paulchel, Jon Silliman, Liz (Jerry) Marsh, and Jimmy (Christi) Silliman.
Linda will always be remembered by her generosity, warm heart, and beautiful smile.
