Leo Kenyon
Age 91, of Penn Yan, NY, passed away May 15, 2023.
Leo was born in Shinglehouse, PA on November 8, 1931, the son of Lawrence and Ona Kenyon. He honorably served in the US Airforce during the Korean Conflict from 1949-1953.
Leo and his wife owned and operated Kenyon’s Store on Keuka Lake from 1957-1977. He also served as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Penn Yan for many years.
Leo was an avid fishermen and outdoorsman. He enjoyed trolling for lake trout and even making his own lures. He knew every great fishing spot on Keuka Lake!
He is survived by his daughter, Janelle Morgan of Elmira; son, Scott (Elizabeth) Kenyon of Wayne; and six grandchildren, Michele, Shelby, Vivian, Judith, Molly, and Kevin; great-grandson Trevor; and his fur companion, Heidi.
Leo was predeceased by his wife Vivian Kenyon in 1977; his parents, and brothers and sister, Jerry and Ron Kenyon; and Mona Ramsey.
Leo was a member of the Barrington Rifle Club and member and deacon of the Lake Keuka Baptist Church.
A private memorial service will be held at the church at a later date.
