Lawrence W. Bacher
Age 68, of Penn Yan, went to his final destination on August 21, 2021.
Larry was born to Lawrence and Marjorie Bacher on October 16, 1952. A childhood that was filled with lots of family time, hard work and a vast amount of outdoor activities ensued. A passion for fishing and hunting was apparent.
Anyone that knew Larry, knew that he was a big man in stature and heart. This was evident in his career as a Registered Nurse at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital where his heart was on full display. He had the opportunity to teach, learn, and help individuals for many years until his retirement. Helping others was first and foremost in all aspects of his life.
During retirement Larry continued his helping of others by dedicating his time to the Sons of the American Legion at Post 355 as a recent Commander.
Larry’s family was the most important thing to him. He is survived by his partner in love, Elizabeth Klug; sons Tedd (Alicia) Bacher and Bill (Jessica) Bacher, grandchildren Matthew, Savannah, Collin and Lucas, great-grandson Alexander, sisters Mona Walker, Barb Hoke, Linda Tones, brother John Bacher, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Larry was predeceased by his parents along with sisters Paula Crofoot, Erma Corcoran, and Freda Slocum.
Friends are invited to a Celebration of his Life at 5:00pm on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the American Legion in Penn Yan.
