Jason R. MacMillan

Age 40, of Penn Yan, passed away as a result of a tragic accident at his home on December 29, 2023.

Jason was a dedicated employee for Heidelberg Materials in Butler. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 2002, he went on to graduate from FLCC in 2010 with an Associate degree in Science Music Recording. Jason was an avid paintball player, sound engineer for The Evan Dillon Band, and worked for the Stagehand Union out of Syracuse. Jason enjoyed working with his hands, fixing vehicles and building furniture, and was considered the "fix-it" man for family and friends.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Tasha (Hicks) MacMillan; their two cherished children, 11-year-old son Connor and 9-year-old daughter Emma, were the lights of Jason's life; mother Yvonne MacMillan (Dick Williams); father Bill (Judy) MacMillan; his sister Leah (Rob) McCarley; uncles Manning Sutton, Donald (May) MacMillan, Rick MacMillan, and his adoring grandmother, Doris Sutton.  The loss of Jason will be mourned by his extended family as well, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Timothy and Yvonne Hicks; brothers-in-law, Andrew (Amy) Hicks; Justin (Jennifer) Hicks and sister-in-law Lily Hicks; special nieces, Violet and Hannah McCarley, Jasmine Vaillancourt and Blake Hicks; and several cousins and many friends.

Jason was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St. Penn Yan on Saturday (January 13^th) from 1pm-3pm; followed by a funeral service at the funeral home at 3:00pm.
