Glenn Richard "Dick" Mashewske Penn Yan: Glenn Richard "Dick" Mashewske, 71 of Penn Yan NY, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 25th, 2018 at Keuka Comfort Care Home in Penn Yan. Glenn was born April 4, 1947, son of the late Glenn Raymond and Coralee (Button) Mashewske. He was a 1965 Penn Yan Academy graduate. Following high school, Glenn enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam, achieving the rank of Senior Master Sgt. Glenn served for decades as a member of and then Highway Superintendent of the Town of Torrey Highway Department. He was a 50+ year member of the Dresden Volunteer Fire Department, where he served for many years as Treasurer. Glenn was a proud member of the American Legion Post 1571, Dresden NY. Glenn is survived by his beloved wife Hon. Jean K. (Bailey) Mashewske of 47 years; his sons David (Kathleen) Mashewske and Michael (Gerri) Mashewske; his grandchildren Matthew, Valerie, Abagail and Gavin; his nieces and nephews, Debra (Chambers) Asbrand, Keith Chambers, Darlene (Chambers) Conley, Steven Hansen, Diane (Hansen) Nilles, Glenda (Heusler) Smith, and Gary Heusler; numerous great-nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Glenn was pre-deceased by his parents Glenn and Coralee, his sisters Shirley Chambers, Patricia Hansen, and Doris Heusler, and his niece Wendy (Heusler) Fingar. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 6th at the Dresden United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Dresden. A reception will follow at the Dresden Methodist Church.
