Dorthey J. (Johnson) Nine

 Age 72, of Dresden, NY, and formerly of Catawba WV, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024.  

Born May 21, 1951 to the late Marshall W. and Tiney E. Johnson of Fairmont, WV.  She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Dennis K. Nine of Dresden NY, formerly of Catawba WV and two daughters, Kimberly (Hardesty) Nine and Tonya (Nine) Hubbart, both of Fairmont, WV. She  had 4 grandchildren. Jeffrey T. Hubbart (J.T.), James Hubbart, Traci L. Hardesty, and Shelby R. Hardesty.  She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Ann Thompson and Tiney Johnson, both of Fairmont, WV.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Buddy Johnson, and a sister, Susan Johnson, and an infant child Teresa J. Moore, all of Fairmont, WV.  

Dorthey was everyone’s mom and loved kids. She was a Foster parent, Fellowship leader, and a Christian camp counselor.  She attended Fairmont State University. She also performed in several theater productions, sang in several choirs, as well as being a solo artist.  She made an impact on everyone and will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
