David P. Malanga

Age 63, of Bluff Point, N Y, passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2024 at home. A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael’s Church, 312 Liberty St., Penn Yan, NY on Tuesday (Aug. 13 TH ) at 10:00am; followed by burial at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Penn Yan.

David was born in North Plainfield, NJ on October 31, 1960, the son of Alfonso and Elaine Malanga. He worked as a plumbing and heating contractor in the Hunterdon County area for many years. He and his wife moved to the Finger Lakes in 2005, settling on Bluff Point in 2013, where he built and operated Bluff Point of View Cabin Rentals next to their home on Esperanza Road. He loved the outdoors and loved building things, from homes to furniture.

He is survived by his loving wife, Daria; children, Elise (Jim) Landry, Joseph (Tracy) Malanga, David Malanga, and Gregory Malanga; mother Elaine Malanga; brothers, Michael (Leslie) Malanga, and Peter Malanga; and 10 grandchildren, Marie, Patrick, Christopher, Joshua, Noah, Samuel, Daniel, Benjamin, Luke, and Siena. He was predeceased by his father.
