Daniel E. Beardsley

68, of Bellona NY passed away on Tuesday December 5, 2023.

He was predeceased by his parents Victor and Marylou (Jensen) Beardsley. He is survived by his brothers James (Leilani) Beardsley, Michael (Margaret) Beardsley, sister Kathleen (James) Bullis and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dan was unmarried but shared a lifelong special friendship with Cindy Liberio. Dan also developed a special relationship with Daniel Rodriguez and Meagan Barns, both of which he cherished as his own “kids”.

Dan graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1974 and joined the US Navy. He worked at the Morton Salt Company, Voplex Corporation and Harsco Rail. Dan spent many years in Florida and Hawaii where he enjoyed playing his many guitars, socializing with friends, and riding motorcycles.

The family will receive friends at the Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St., Penn Yan on Wednesday (Dec. 20^th) from 5pm-7pm; followed by a memorial service with military honors at 7pm.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held in June 2024.
