Curtis I. Ballard

Age 74, of Dundee, NY, passed away April 22, 2023. 

Curt was born in Penn Yan on September 25, 1948, the son of Ivan and Henrietta Ballard and married Penny McKie on April 22, 1967.  They enjoyed 56 years together.  He retired from AKZO-NOBEL in Watkins Glen.  Curt was a former member and volunteer with the Bradford Volunteer Fire Department and was a lifelong friend and supporter of the Tyrone Volunteer Fire Department.   

He is survived by his wife Penny Ballard; daughters, Carol, Christine, Tracy and Florence; brothers Greg (Michele) Ballard, and Roy (Suzanne) Ballard; step-sister Bonnie White; seven grandchildren, Penny, Dominic, Brandon, Joshua, Ricky, Zachary, and Bryan; several great-grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by his parents, and sisters Yvonne Olsen and Joyce Ballard.    

The family will receive friends at Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St., Penn Yan on Sunday (April 30) from 1pm-3pm; followed by a memorial service at 3:00pm.  He will be interred at Hillside Cemetery in Dundee at a later date.
