Carolyn A. Northrup

Age 77, of St. Mark’s Terrace in Penn Yan, passed away Sept. 26, 2021.

Carolyn was born in on Feb. 10, 1944, the daughter of Elmer and Amy (Crofoot) Brown. She was predeceased by her parents; twin infant sister Marilyn; and sisters, Jackie and Gwen.

She worked at the former Barden & Robeson basket factory in Penn Yan as a basket maker and painter, and as a clerk at the Indian Pine Fruit Stand. She loved playing bingo and was a member of several bowling leagues. She is survived by her husband Ronnie Northrup Sr; two sons, Ronnie Northrup Jr. of Penn Yan and Donnie (Tracey) Northrup of Milton, FL; brother, Elmer “Skip” (Jane) Brown of Elmira; and sisters, Kathy Gilley of De Funiak Springs, FL; and Sherolyn O’Bryan of Greenwood, FL; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St., Penn Yan on Friday (Oct. 1) from 2pm-4pm; followed by a memorial service at 4pm. She will be interred at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery.
