Beatrice (Rogers/Naylor) Allen

Beatrice Pauline (Rogers) (Naylor) Allen age 97 of Dundee NY passed away February 11, 2021 at the Penn Yan Manor in Penn Yan, NY. Bea was born April 3, 1923 in Campbell NY, daughter of Albert and Mable Rogers. She is dearly loved and will be forever missed by her children, Vickie (Duane) Maxfield, Esler Naylor (Russell Rumsey), Michael (Debra) Naylor; stepchildren Patty (Lanny) Gilbert, Judy Allen (married to James Allen deceased), nephews Gary and Carl Hakes which she helped raise. Bea also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren who she loved and cherished. There are many family members and friends that will be loved and missed. She was predeceased by her first husband James Lyle Naylor of 15 years, and a second marriage of 24 years to Cleland DeCamp Allen; also sisters, Vera Hakes, Verna Dake, and Gertrude Rogers; brothers, Leroy, Jesse and Sidney Rogers; three grandsons, Jason Michael Naylor, Barry and Raymond Rickerson; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Janet (Earl “Bud”) Rickerson; and son-in-law James Allen. Early in life Bea worked at Corning Glass for a few years and after the death of her first husband James in 1957 she raised her children alone. In 1966 she married Cleland Allen and moved to Dundee, NY. She then worked for Western Counties Telephone in Dundee where she worked for many years. Her hobbies were crafting and she would always give everybody a BIG HUG whether she knew you or not. Honoring her wishes there will be no calling hours and she will be laid to rest at Hope Cemetery in Campbell, NY with her loving husband Jim. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dundee Fire Department or Ambulance also Penn Yan Manor. The family would also like to thank the Penn Yan Manor and give a BIG HUG to all the staff for taking such good care of Bea during her stay.
