Ann Marie graduated from Southside High School in Elmira and was a member of Delta Alpha Sorority. During the war effort she worked for Remington Rand. She met her future husband, Oscar, at a friend's birthday party, and they were married on August 23, 1947 at St. Mary’s Church in Elmira.

A devoted wife and mother, Ann Marie loved her husband for his good looks, charm, mannerisms, and sharp way of dressing. She enjoyed crocheting, singing, writing, swimming, and dancing, and cherished spending time with close friends. Her Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life.

Ann Marie was known for her infectious smile and laugh. She had a wonderful sense of humor. Every holiday, she made Grandma Brown’s Baked Beans with her own special twist, bringing joy to family gatherings. She loved traveling in the motorhome, attending horse shows, and working hard in her gardens and yards. She even painted fences around the horse barn and could often be found on the riding lawn mower.

Proud of her German heritage, Ann Marie loved researching her family history. In 2014, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by traveling to Germany and visiting her ancestors' hometown of Baden-Baden.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  You are invited to share condolences and memories online in her obituary at Weldon Funeral Home (WeldonFuneralHome.com).
