Albert E. Quackenbush II

Age 94, of Hammondsport NY, passed away August 1, 2023.

The family will receive friends at Weldon Funeral Home, 102 E. Main St., Penn Yan, on Saturday (August 5) from 1pm-3pm; followed by a funeral service at 3:00pm at the funeral home; and burial at Lakeview Cemetery.  A reception will be announced.

Al was born May 27, 1929, one of four children born to Albert and Dorothy Leach Quackenbush.

He is survived by his children Sherry (Dave) Ramsey, Skip Quackenbush, Lorrie Howell (Greg Blessing), and Cindy Quackenbush; daughter-in-law, Kelly Quackenbush; grandchildren Albert (Kymberli) Quackenbush IV, Benjamin (Emily) Quackenbush, Luella Howell (Anthony Cranmer), Amanda Howell, Steve (Racheal) Quackenbush, Jaclyn Howell, Jeremy (Stacey) Provost, Jennifer Ryan, and Kori (Jacob) Holley, Lee Ann (John) Koenig, Andrew (Allison) Ramsey; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Helen of 67 years in 2017, and beloved son David in 2014. He was also predeceased by his sisters and brothers-in-law, Arlene (Herb) Crook, Cecile (William) Baker and Eva (Wayne) Dodge. 

He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and spent many enjoyable hours hunting and fishing with his family.

 He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
