HIMROD–Lance B. Strong, 48, of Himrod, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2018. A celebration of life will be held at the Seneca Lake Duck Hunters association on Saturday (Dec. 13) at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Five Star Bank 129 Elm Street, Penn Yan, NY 14527. Payable to Penn Yan's Boys Lacrosse. Seneca Lake Duck Hunters Association P.O. Box 15 Dresden, NY 14441, to benefit providing scholarships to the Youth DEC Camp. Lance was born on October 28, 1969 in Canandaigua, N.Y. Lance was the proud business owner of IBS builders for over 25 years and more recently the Crooked Lake Car Wash. As a business owner and individual, he donated throughout the entire community. He enjoyed volunteering at the Seneca Lake Duck Hunter's Association for the last 24 years and currently served as Vice-President. He was also active on the Yates County Fair Board for many years. Lance earned his nickname "Gunner" playing on the high school lacrosse team for Penn Yan. He is survived by his mother, Darleen Strong-House; step-father, Pat House; siblings Tim (Denelle) ,Jared (Lyn) Strong, Shawn House, and Michelle (Larry) Pfeiffer; several neices; nephews; aunts; uncles; and the love of his life Amber Hawley; and son Brendan. Lance was predeceased by his father, Lysle Strong.
